MEN'S BASKETBALL SEEKING FIRST FEBRUARY WIN AS THEY TRAVEL TO BINGHAMTON ON WEDNESDAY
2/15/2005
The Retriever men's basketball team (9-14, 4-10 America East) needs to wipe away the memories of a tough week at home, as UMBC hits the road for a Wednesday contest at red-hot Binghamton (9-14, 6-8 AE). The game broadcast can be heard on ESPN 1300 and umbcretrievers.com, with Paul Mittermeier on the call.
UMBC made just 33.5% of its shots from the floor in home losses to Boston University and Northeastern last week and saw their losing streak reach five straight. The Bearcats have won four straight games and have moved into fifth place in the league standings.
UMBC pulled off a miraculous win over Binghamton last month, as Brian Hodges' three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left gave UMBC its lone lead of the game in a 61-59 win.
