GREYHOUNDS, RETRIEVERS TO MEET FOR 44TH TIME IN MEN'S BASKETBALL AT THE RAC ARENA ON TUESDAY
UMBC and Loyola will meet for the 44th time when the two schools convene at the RAC Arena on Tuesday. These teams have played one another at least one time since the 1987-88 season. and tonight’s game will be the seventh played since the 2000-01 season. The game can be heard live on UMBC’s website at www.umbcretrievers.com and at on ESPN 1300, with Gary Stein and Paul Mittermeier on the call. Senior center Andrew Feeley leads the Retrievers with four “double-doubles" in eight games this season and he is second in the America East Conference at 9.4 rebounds per game. The two contrasting styles will be on display as Loyola’s games average 154 points per contest, while Retriever contests are at the 130-point clip. Three Loyola players average in double figures, led by junior wing Charlie Bell (13.3 ppg) and followed by a pair of freshmen wings, Freddie Stanback (12.6 ppg) and Brad Farrell (10.1 ppg).
