MEN'S BASKETBALL HEADS FOR BEANTOWN
2/10/2004
The UMBC men's basketball team (7-14, 4-8 America East) will embark on its toughest two-game league "roadie" of the year when they face second-place Boston University and third-place (tied) Northeastern in Boston, Massachusetts.
Both games are available on WJFK (1300 AM) and TEAMLINE.
The Terriers have won 17 of their last 18 games, with the lone loss occuring to league-leading Vermont by a bucket. UMBC did give Boston University a tough battle, falling 59-55 on January 14 at the RAC Arena. Tip-off time this Thursday is 7:00 p.m. from Case Gym.
The Retrievers will meet the Huskies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Solomon Court, and will try to avenge an 81-62 NU triumph at the RAC Arena on January 17. Northeastern hit 10 of 22 behind the arc that night without the services of sharp-shooting guard Marcus Barnes.
