  • Stony Brook Notes

The UMBC men's basketball team (4-7, 1-1 America East) plays for the fourth time in nine days this Wednesday, January 7, when they travel to Stony Brook to face the Seawolves (3-8, 0-2 America East) at the SB Sports Complex. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 and the game can be heard on 1300, WJFK, "The Jock", or via the TEAMLINE service.

The Retrievers have split their first two league games, edging Albany, 67-62, in Albany, NY on Friday, before losing a heartbreaking 67-66 decision to Vermont at the RAC Arena on Sunday afternoon. Senior guard Kareem Washington re-emerged as a prime offensive factor, as he amassed 42 points in 40 minutes of playing time in the two contests. Washington buried a career high six three-point goals in a season high 24-point effort vs. Vermont.
