2009-10: The leading freshman rebounder in America East (5.1 per game)… Also averaged 6.3 points per game and shot 51.2 percent from the floor while starting all 30 games for the Retrievers… The first freshman to lead UMBC in rebounding since Kennedy Okafor did it in 1997-98 (9.3 per game) and the first freshman to start all games in a season since Chris Pugh started all 28 in the 2003-04 campaign… Ranked sixth in America East games in field goal percentage (49.0%) and led the team at 51.0 percent through all 30 games… Hit 50 percent or better from the floor in 16 of 29 games where he attempted at least one shot… Recorded eight games in double figures in points, four with double figures in rebounds and a pair of double-doubles. Nov. 15: Named UMBC’s America East Player of the Game in his debut, as he scored nine points, added 10 rebounds (tying for game-high honors) and three steals vs.
