COLLEGIATE: Transferred to UMBC from Marshall University after the 2008 spring semester… Practiced with the Retrievers last season, and will be able to compete in the 2009-2010 campaign... He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

2007-08: Competed in 25 games and started five for the Thundering Herd… Tied his career high with 12 points and added six rebounds on Feb. 20 vs. UTEP… Also scored in double figures with 10 points, adding six caroms, on Dec. 14 vs. Rio Grande… Dramatically improved his free throw percentage, hitting 27 of 34 attempts (79.4%) for the season… 47 of his 120 career rebounds (39 percent) have come off the offensive glass.

2006-07: Saw action in 29 games and started five in his initial collegiate season… Averaged over 10 minutes played per game… Shot 52.1 percent from the floor (25-for-48)… Made his first career start vs. Virginia Tech on Dec. 30, 2006 and played career-high 23 minutes in the MU win… Posted season-high in points (12) and career-best in rebounds (8) on Jan. 10 at UTEP… Blocked a career-high three shots and added six points and seven caroms at Southern Miss on March 3.

BACKGROUND:  Attended Aberdeen High School from 2001-2005 and averaged 18 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots per contest… A McDonald’s All-American nominee, first-team All-County and All-Metro honorable mention… Competed for Prince Avenue Prep in Pickens, S.C. in 2005-06 and averaged 17 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks per game in that season… Considering a major in new media and communication studies… lists favorite NBA team as the Miami Heat… Has five siblings-Roderick (28), Lisa (26), Savannah (17), Vanessa (16) and Isaac (14)… Son of Louise Stewart and Robert Jackson… Born Dec. 30, 1985.
