    Nate Stewart enters his third season on the Retriever bench. He is involved with all aspects of the basketball program, including recruiting prospective student-athletes, scouting, and monitoring tthe academic progress of athletes in the program. 

     

    Stewart served as an assistant coach at Radford (Va.) University for the 2005-06 season, his first experience at the Division I level.  He served as a graduate assistant coach at Marshall (W.Va.) University from 2003-05, while earning his master’s degree in athletic administration. The native of Christianburg, Va., was a four-year letterwinner at Roanoke (Va.) College where he averaged 7.1 rebounds per game as a starter in his senior season.

     

    Stewart earned his B.S. degree in health and human performance from Roanoke in May 2003.
