· After appearing in just one game in his freshman season, he saw action in seven contests as a sophomore.
2006-07 Game Highlights
· (Nov. 21) Scored his first collegiate points with a field goal in the win over Lafayette. He also snared a carom in the game in his longest outing (three minutes).
· (Dec. 1) Recorded his first collegiate blocked shot and recorded a rebound at St. John’s.
· (Jan. 11) Was credited with a rebound in two minutes of action vs. Vermont.
· (Jan. 31) Made his final appearance of the season with two minutes played at Albany.
05-06: The walk-on appeared in his first game vs. Vermont and missed a last second field goal attempt…drew praise from the coaches because of his total commitment to all aspects of the program...extremely popular with his teammates and the fans.
Background: Earned Second Team All (Baltimore) County honors from The Baltimore Sun and earned a slot on the Baltimore County Senior All Star squad…averaged 14 points and 9 rebounds a game for the Mavericks in his senior year…helped ETHS to a 21-5 record (best in school history) and a regional title…posted 26 points and 14 rebounds against Meade HS in a holiday tournament…was a teammate of former U. Conn standout Rudy Gay in 2001-02…an honor roll student who is interested in Mechanical Engineering…a relative late-comer to basketball, who did not begin competing until age 13…a fan of the Godfather movies and his hometown Baltimore Ravens…has an older brother, Ryan, 21, and a younger brother, Evan, 16…son of Kath and Blane Massey…born May 16, 1987.
