MEN'S GOLF FINISHES FOURTH AT LAFAYETTE INVITATIONAL 4/14/2002

The UMBC men's golf team had its best finish of the season so far this past weekend as they captured fourth place at the Lafayette Invitational. Their score of 299-306-605 easily outpaced four NEC teams in the field including Monmouth, Wagner, LIU and Fairleigh Dickinson.Sophomore Seth Unterschute (71-75-146) led the field after day one as he was the only player to shoot even-par. He would continue his stellar play into day two and wind up in sole possession of fifth place.Junior Chris Davidson (73-77-150) also finished in the top ten for the Retrievers as his two-day total was good enough for a tie for ninth place.Also scoring well for UMBC was freshman AJ Bachmann (77-77-154), sophomore Scott Dizel (78-78-156) and junior captain Dan Repath (85-77-162).
