TOWSON DEFEATS UMBC IN FIELD HOCKEY, 3-0

Towson, MD--Towson (2-4) scored late in the first half and added a pair of second half scores to edge UMBC (0-3), 3-0, in the first meeting between the two schools since 1987. Karalyn Krieger made nine saves in the UMBC net, as TU outshot UMBC, 17-2. The Tigers also accumulated 17 penalty corners to a pair for the Retrievers.
