2005: Saw action in 14 games for the Retrievers, starting two…scored her first career goal in UMBC’s 9-3 victory over Robert Morris…selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the second consecutive season...also earned America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition.
2004: Saw action in six games for the Retrievers…first playing time came in UMBC’s 2-1 win over West Chester…selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
Background: Was named Field Hockey’s Outstanding Senior Athlete in high school…a Second-Team All-Conference selection in 2002 and Honorable Mention All-County in 2002 and 2003…also considered Lehigh and The College of New Jersey but chose UMBC because “it offered everything academically and athletically”...was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society…enjoys creating professional portraits of people during her spare time…daughter of Robert and Carin Smith…has an older brother, Nick, and a younger sister, Kristin…born on Nov. 16, 1985...a psychology major.
