On Heinz: Skilled, smart, aggressive midfielder…very versatile player.

2004: Started all 17 games for the Retrievers…recorded an assist in UMBC’s 2-1 win over West Chester…was selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the second consecutive season.

 

2003: Scored UMBC’s lone goal in the 2-1 loss to Towson…posted an assist in the overtime loss to Siena…was selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

 

2002: Saw action in 12 games.

 

Background: Played on Team Connecticut at the Cape Cod Classics...was an All-FCIAC honorable mention during her last two years at Wilton...led her team to the quarterfinals of the state championships...also lettered in softball and track in high school…plays the cello…chose UMBC over Lafayette, Franklin & Marshall, Richmond and Bucknell…daughter of Harold and Lauren Heinz...has an older brother, Corey, and a younger sister, Rebecca…born on March 27, 1984...majoring in psychology and hopes to become a child psychologist.
