Background: Was selected as her high school’s Outstanding Senior Athlete for Field Hockey… A Second Team All-Conference selection in 2002, and Honorable Mention All-County in 2002 and 2003… Also considered Lehigh and The College of New Jersey but chose UMBC because she “loves the campus and it offered everything academically and athletically”... Was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Art Honor Society… Enjoys creating professional portraits of people during her spare time… Daughter of Robert and Carin Smith… Born on November 16, 1985... Intends to major in Mathematics and someday become a teacher in higher education.
