A Slew of Retrievers Will Represent UMBC in Summer Ball Leagues
Fifteen different UMBC baseball student-athletes will be in action in various college summer leagues. The fifteen Retrievers will be spread out amongst five leagues; the Cal Ripken League, Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, Maryland Collegiate Baseball League, Susquehanna Collegiate Baseball League, and the Prospect Collegiate Baseball League.

Wozniak Earns ABCA/Rawlings NCAA East All-Region Second Team Honors
UMBC junior RHP Conrad Wozniak (Cypress, Texas/Cypress Woods/Frank Phillip) earned a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings East All-Region Second Team honors, as announced by the ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association) on Wednesday. The honor adds to the list for the junior transfer who helped lead the Retrievers to their most wins since 2008, and second most in program history.

The America East released their annual All-Conference Teams on Wednesday. Ten different Retrievers made the First Team, Second Team or All-Rookie Team. In addition, freshman Matt Chanin (Olney, Md./Sherwood) was name Rookie of the Year, junior Conrad Wozniak (Cypress, Texas, Cypress Woods/Frank Phillip College) was named Pitcher of the Year, and Coach Bob Mumma was named Coach of the Year.

The UMBC baseball team has been selected to finish in sixth place, according the coaches of the America East in the 2015 America East Preseason Poll. The poll was announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

UMBC Baseball Releases 2015 Slate
UMBC baseball head coach Bob Mumma released the 2015 slate on Friday. The schedule features 25 home contests, as well as three games at the Coastal Carolina Tournament against a pair of Big Ten schools.

UMBC Baseball Welcomes 12 Newcomers for 2015 Season
BALTIMORE – The UMBC baseball program has added 12 newcomers for the upcoming 2015 season, Retriever head coach Bob Mumma announced on Thursday afternoon. The Retrievers, who start fall practice in September, will welcome six pitchers, two catchers, two infielders, and two outfielders to the program.

Dolshun and Mikush Selected as Summer League All-Stars
BALTIMORE – UMBC rising sophomore Hunter Dolshun and rising junior Denis Mikush have been selected as All-Stars in their respective summer baseball leagues. Dolshun has spent the 2014 summer in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League (HCL) with the Riverhead Tomcats while Mikush has been pitching for the Vienna River Dogs in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League (CRCBL).
