Clark Throws One Inning, But Western Division Falls in Double-A All Star Game
READING, Pa. – Former UMBC pitcher Zach Clark (Newark, Del./Newark) threw one inning for the Western Division team in the Eastern League All Star Game, but the Eastern Division walked-off with a 5-4 win in the bottom of the ninth, Wednesday evening at FirstEnergy Stadium.

BALTIMORE – UMBC broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the eighth with a run but Stony Brook came back and scored two in the bottom half and held off a comeback attempt to claim the series finale, 7-6, and pick up the sweep Sunday afternoon at Joe Nathan Field.

BALTIMORE – Senior Max Himmelstein (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) returned to the lineup for UMBC (9-32, 1-13 America East) and hit his conference-leading eighth homerun of the year, but Stony Brook (34-10, 12-2 America East) won the series finale, 17-1, on Sunday to complete the weekend sweep at the Baseball Factory Field.

BALTIMORE – UMBC junior catcher Jason Allinder (Snow Hill, Md./Snow Hill/Chesapeake CC picked up a hit in each game to extend his team-best hit streak to six games but visiting Stony Brook took both games of the doubleheader against UMBC, Saturday afternoon at the Baseball Factory Field. The Seawolves shut out the Retrievers 5-0 in game one before taking game two as well, 13-6.
