BASEBALL INKS FOUR DURING EARLY SIGNING PERIOD

UMBC Head Baseball Coach John Jancuska announced today that four recruits have signed National Letter of Intent to attend UMBC. RHP Stephen Evans (Chaplegate Christian Academy/Finksburg, Maryland), LHP Mike Fitzpatrick (The Haverford School/Springfield, PA), catcher Jonathan Gossard (Northern Valley Regional/Harrington Park, New Jersey) and outfielder Mike Scheffel (Westminster/Westminster, Maryland) will all don the black and gold in 2004.
"We are extremely excited about these four student-athletes," said Jancuska. "They are all outstanding young men who we expect will contribute immediately."
