Baseball Falls to Georgetown, 12-5

    BALTIMOREThe UMBC baseball team fell to Georgetown, 12-5, Tuesday evening at the Baseball Factory Field at UMBC.

     

    Junior Casey Medairy (Elkridge, Md./Howard) hit his first career home run in the bottom of the seventh, a solo shot down the left field line.

     

    Sophomore Brian Klukowicz (Clifton, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) had three hits and a run scored.

     

    Tom Elliott led the Hoyas with two hits and four runs driven in.

     

    Freshman J.R. Seader (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) (0-2) allowed eight runs in four innings of work. Georgetown’s James Heine (1-0) picked up the win.

     

    The Retrievers return to action Saturday with a doubleheader against Stony Brook and a single game Sunday at the Baseball Factory Field.
