Baseball Falls in Series Finale at Binghamton, 17-7
VESTAL, N.Y.—The UMBC baseball team scored six runs in the eighth inning, but it was not enough, as host Binghamton won the finale of a three-game series, 17-7, Sunday in Vestal, N.Y. With the loss, the Retrievers fall to 7-25 (3-7 America East), while the Bearcats improve to 16-17 (7-3 AEC).

The scoring ended with sophomore Curtis Schickner (East Windsor, N.J./Lawrenceville Prep) drawing yet another walk to score junior Rich Conlon (Vienna, Va./James Madison).

Corey Taylor led the Bearcat bats, recording four runs, three RBI and three hits, including his eighth home run of the season.
The Retrievers return home for their final 17 games of the season, starting with Mount St. Mary’s Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
