Retriever Baseball Drops Doubleheader at Maine, 6-1 and 7-3, Saturday

ORONO, Maine—The UMBC baseball team dropped a pair of games to America East rival Maine, 6-1 and 7-3, in Orono, Maine Saturday afternoon. With the losses, the Retrievers fall to 5-24 and 1-9 in America East play, while the Black Bears improve to 22-13 and 5-1 in conference play.
Senior Wink Nolan (Ellicott City, Md./Calvert Hall/Maryland) had five hits on the day between the two games, including his first home run of the season in the third inning of the second game. Fellow senior Brad Brainer (Chester, Md./Kent Island/Chesapeake JC) went 4-for-5 in the second game with a RBI, driving in senior Dave Warrenfeltz (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport), who has hit safely in five straight games.
