JARED BOYD LANDS ON FIRST TEAM ECAC BASEBALL SQUAD

CAPE COD, Mass. -- The Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced that UMBC senior shortsop Jared Boyd has been named to the 2002 ECAC Division I Baseball All-Star Team.Boyd, the 2002 Northeast Conference Player of the Year, hit .406 this past year and led the country with 32 doubles. He became UMBC's all-time leader in hits (240) and tied a single-season mark with 84 hits. 2002 ECAC Division I Baseball All-Stars Player of the Year 3B Tom Merkle NYIT Sr. First Team P- Chris Lambert, Boston College, Fr.
