Later in the inning, senior Jared Boyd (Perth Amboy, N.J.) doubled to left center field and scored an unearned run on a throwing error by McKenna. It was the 27th double of the season, a new single-season school record. In the sixth inning, the Retrievers loaded the bases with one out. However, junior righthander Ray Sauser (Arch. Marcozzi and McKenna each had RBI singles to start the rally. Bacon's two-run double to centerfield gave Towson an 8-2 lead. After scoring two runs without a hit in the seventh inning, the Retrievers pulled to with 12-7 in the eighth inning on a bases-loaded double by Boyd.Freshman righthander Rafe Bridges (Westminster H.S./Westminster, Md.) earned his third win of the season for the Tigers.
