Delawter was 2-for-4 on the day with a home run, one run scored and one RBI, while Meaney was 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI.
Freshman Dave Divita (1-1) (Mayfield Village, Ohio/Mayfield) was tabbed with the loss for the Retrievers as he gave up four runs on 11 hits, while fanning one in five innings of work.
Brian Conley led the Tigers as he went 3-for-5 on the day with one run scored, a double and three RBI and Austin Hurd (1-0) picked up his first win of the season after pitching five innings where he gave up just one run on four hits while striking out three. Spencer Patton also earned a save for
Meaney started the scoring off for both teams in the fourth, but the Tigers quickly answered in the bottom of the inning and took the lead for good after a three-run inning in the fifth. They added five more runs on four hits and a Retriever error in the sixth and a two-run homer by Kevin Collins in the seventh gave them an 11-2 decision over the Retrievers.
