UMBC BASEBALL TO HOST INAUGURAL FIRST PITCH BANQUET

UMBC baseball to host First Pitch Banquet on February 18th.

The UMBC baseball team will be hosting the inaugural First Pitch UMBC Baseball Pre-Season Banquet on Saturday, February 18th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Skylight Room in the UMBC Commons.  Among those in attendance will be former players and honorees Jim Pirisino (1972), Fritz Lahner (1973), Steve Rice (1979), Bob Jacobsen (1979), Bill Ahern (1980), Bill Gerhardt (1980), Greg Usilton (1985) and Jeff Crabill (1988).  Tickets are still available at a cost of $35.00 per person. 

 

The evening’s honorees represent former players inducted into the UMBC Athletic Hall of Fame and symbolize UMBC Baseball’s first teams through the NCAA Division II years. 

 

Also in attendance will be the 2006 baseball team and coaching staff along with parents, family and friends of current players, UMBC athletic department staff and alumni.  UMBC merchandise and baseball apparel will be available for purchase.  Vintage and pre-worn baseball jackets and jerseys will be for sale as well.
