2009: Started 28 games for UMBC; 26 at shortstop and two at third base… Hit .279 with 24 hits in 86 at bats… Earned three RBI against Albany on April 4… Had multiple hits in four games.

2008: Started 47 games in his opening campaign for the Retrievers, starting all of them at shortstop… Finished with a .235 batting average with 40 hits and 21 RBI... Led UMBC with 123 assists on the year, tied for seventh in the America East… Earned America East All-Championship Team honors after hitting .286 with two hits and two RBI.

Background: A two-sport athlete at James Madison High School in Vienna, Va….
