2007: Played in 49 games, tied for fourth-most on the team, starting 43 of them… Entered the Retrievers’ all-time career list for sacrifices after adding six (two flies, four bunts) during the season… He currently stands in eighth on the list with 16 career sacrifices… Also added to his career record total for hit by pitch, adding seven instances, which ties for fifth all-time in a single-season, to bring his total to 27… Finished the season with a .281 average and .346 on-base percentage, both third on the team, as well as 38 hits, 12 runs, 14 RBI, six doubles, and a team-leading two triples… Saw his best game of the season against Delaware, where he went 3-for-3 with a triple and one RBI.
2006: Played in 49 games, starting 41 all of them at third base… Batted .279 with 36 hits, 18 runs scored, and 19 RBI’s… Also had nine extra-base hits with eight doubles and one home run… Had eight multi-hit games including going 2-for-5 against Vermont with two runs scored, two RBI’s, and two doubles… Batted .226 in conference games starting in 20 of 22 games played… Also tallied 14 hits and 12 RBI’s in conference games.
2005: Started in 45 games on the season and played in 47 on the year… Started all 45 games at third base… Batted .217 with 33 hits, 15 runs scored and 13 RBI… Recorded four extra-base hits with a double and three home runs… Hit one home run at Towson while the other two came at home against Buffalo and Hartford in the season finale… Named America East Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 3, 2005… Batted .333 and held a .429 on-base percentage, scoring one run and driving in two on the week… Tallied two hits at Maryland and gathered two more at Navy, going 2-for-4 from the plate against the Midshipmen to score one run and record two RBI in an 11-2 win… Hit .227 in conference games… Recorded eight multi-hit games, three multi-RBI games and a season-long seven-game hit streak.
Background: Helped lead St. Mark’s High School to back-to-back Delaware State Baseball Championships en route to being named First-Team All-State at third base in 2004… Earned All-Catholic Conference as a third baseman in 2003 and 2004… Received the Rev. Robert Kenney Award as the Most Valuable Player of the Catholic Conference in 2004…. Earned the Bishop Michael Hyle award as Most Outstanding Senior Athlete… Hit a grand slam as one of four hits and scored the game-winning run in the 10th inning against Middletown his senior year...
