Lang’s Background: Was a four-time scholar athlete at North Allegheny High School in Wexford, Pa.... Batted .342 and recorded three home runs in 2006… Named to the Second-Team All-Western Pennsylvania in 2006… Part of Tigers team that captured the WPIAL Championship in 2005 while being ranked No. 4 on the East Coast by USA Today and were WPIAL semi-finalists in 2006… Recorded a 6-1 record, 1.42 ERA, and led his team in strikeouts this summer… Best performance was a 4-for-4 outing with a homerun, triple, two doubles, and eight RBI’s this summer… Played for the Allegheny Pirates in 2004 and 2005… Major is undecided… Son of George and Carole Lang… Father George ran track at the University of Pittsburgh… Born October 25, 1987.
