BALTIMORE – The UMBC volleyball team will host a pair of camps this summer, head coach Ian Blanchard announced on Friday.

The Retriever High Performance Skills Camp will run from July 22nd – 25th with the Big Dawg Skills Session Camps following on Aug. 2nd – 4th.

The High Performance Skills Camp will focus on all of the major volleyball skills – passing, blocking, attacking, serving, and defense – and promises a low athlete to coach ratio.  Campers have the option to stay overnight at UMBC or commute to camp each day.

The Big Dawg Skills Session Camps will have a primary focus on the individual athlete.  As with the High Performance Camp, the Big Dawg Camps can accommodate groups and teams.

In both camps, Coach Blanchard will coach the athletes on the top court and will assist with the operation of the camp.  Athletes of ages 9-18 (entering senior year of high school) are welcome and will be separated according to skill level based to the day’s activity.
