Audition Information for 2009-2010 Season

Do you love to dance and have a ton of school spirit?
Do you want to perform for the best fans in the America East Conference?

2009-2010 Dance Team auditions are quickly approaching. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss the chance to become a member of the BEST Spirit Program in the AEC!!!

The UMBC Dance Team consists of 20-22 student dancers proudly representing ¼ of the Athletic Department’s spectacular Game-Day entertainment package. This year marks our 15th season bringing a little extra glamour to the RAC. We absolutely love and look forward to performing for the best fans in the AEC along with the outstanding ‘Down & Dirty Dawg Band’, the Varsity Cheerleaders and Featured Twirler.

Each year our team has grown stronger and over the years many solid friendships have been built. Members of the Dance Team motivate each other on & off the court. We have a blast working together whether preparing for a home-game, performing at the AEC & NCAA conference tournaments, volunteering at community events, organizing donation-drives or making appearances at campus sponsored events.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Orientation & Prep-classes will be held in the RAC Fitness Studio 7:00-8:30pm:
September 2nd (Orientation only)
September 9th, September 14th, September and September 16th
Attendance at all prep-classes is strongly encouraged. Classes will include audition material, technique drills, hair/makeup guidance and time for questions.

Auditions will be held in the RAC Fitness Studio on September 19th 9am – Noon.
Please bring your completed application, photo and $5 registration fee along with you.
