UMBC Athlete of the Week: Andrew Bulls, Men’s Soccer

Junior midfielder Andrew Bulls tallied six points on two goals and two assists in a pair of UMBC wins last week, scoring the game’s first goal in both contests, a 2-1 overtime victory over 23rd-ranked Penn State on Wednesday and a 3-0 triumph over America East rival Hartford on Saturday. Bulls then added assists on the next two Retriever goals against the Hawks. For his efforts, the Millersville, Md., native was named America East co-Player of the Week and also earned a spot on College Soccer News’ National Team of the Week. Bulls leads the America East in assists (12) and ranks second in points (18). A preseason Hermann Award nominee, he is the first player in school history to record 25 goals and 25 assists in his career, and his 77 career points are tied for seventh on UMBC’s all-time scoring list.
