Spaay paced the Retrievers both offensively and defensively in a pair of road wins last week, including a 3-2 thriller at New Hampshire. The junior setter directed the offense, dishing out a league-high 10.56 assists per set and adding four aces. On the defensive end, she recorded 4.89 digs per set, second-most in the America East last week, and she also recorded three blocks. In the five-set win over the Wildcats, Spaay registered 45 assists and 30 digs, and in a 3-1 victory over Providence, she reached the half-century mark with 50 assists to go along with 14 digs, two blocks and two kills. For her efforts, the Kenosha, Wis., native was named America East Setter of the Week on Monday.
