Iman Kennedy led the Retrievers to their first America East win of the season Sunday over defending league champion Binghamton, hitting an outstanding .438 with a career-high 17 kills and five blocks. She finished the week with a team-best 29 kills and .254 hitting percentage in three matches. Kennedy leads UMBC with 57 total blocks this season, and she ranks third in the conference with 1.04 blocks per set. The junior middle blocker from Charlotte, N.C., recently moved into eighth place all-time at UMBC with 158 career assisted blocks.
