Athlete of the Week: Brian McCullough, Men’s Lacrosse

Brian McCullough returned to the UMBC nets on Saturday after missing two games with a broken thumb and made 13 saves, leading the Retrievers to a 9-7 victory over Quinnipiac. The junior from Garden City, N.Y., had eight saves and allowed just two goals in the second half, including two stops in the final minute to protect a two-goal lead. McCullough has 35 saves in four games this season, including 27 in his last two outings.
