Athlete of the Week: Erika Braerman, Women’s Lacrosse

Erika Braerman led the Retrievers with four goals, three assists and seven points last week. She notched a hat trick – her second of the season – and added an assist to lead UMBC to a 10-9 upset victory over No. 17 Towson on Wednesday, and all three goals came in big spots. The senior from Fallston, Md., then tallied a team-high three points on a goal and two assists against Duquesne on Saturday. Braerman has scored a goal in all five games this season and leads the Retrievers with 11 goals, six assists and 17 points.
