Athlete of the Week: Hannah Schmidt, Women's Volleyball

Sophomore hitter Hannah Schmidt recorded back-to-back double-doubles this weekend as the Retrievers went 1-1 on the road at conference rivals Hartford and Albany. The Catonsville, Md. native, set a new season-high with 16 kills while scooping up ten digs in Friday’s win against the Hawks and followed it with a 13-kill, ten-dig effort against the Great Danes on Sunday. Schmidt now has a team-best seven double-doubles this season while placing second on the team in both kills and digs. In addition, she ranks second in the America East in service aces per set and tenth in kills per set.
