Athlete of the Week: Lindsay Cox, Women's Lacrosse

Senior midfielder Lindsay Cox earned America East Offensive Player of the Week, after leading the Retrievers to a 7-5 victory against California on Saturday, Feb. 23. UMBC is off to a 2-0 start for just the second time in the last 15 years of the program. Cox pilots the Retrievers, with a pair of four-goal efforts to open the 2013 campaign. On Saturday against the Golden Bears, Cox registered a team-best five points – four goals and one assist. The senior broke a 2-2 tie with three-straight scores to give UMBC a 5-2 advantage. Cox also added five draw controls in the game and has a team-best seven on the season.
