Athlete of the Week: Claire Barron, Women's Swimming and Diving

Senior swimmer Claire Barron won both of her individual events and helped the Retriever claim both relays as UMBC defeated Old Dominion, 162-127, over the weekend. The Lowestoft, England native, swept the breaststroke events against Monarchs, winning the 100-yd. event with a time of 1:06.63 and the 200-yd. event in time of 2:25.04. During the 200 medley relay, Barron swam the second leg of the competition, the breaststroke, while she anchored the 400 free relay to the win. For the season, Barron has won four individual dual meet events.
