Athlete of the Week: Emily Coady, Women's Lacrosse

Coady set career marks with six goals and nine total points in the Retrievers’ 19-11 victory over Vermont on April 14. Her nine-point effort is tied for the third-most in school history. The Westminster, Md. native scored a natural hat trick late in the first half to pull the Retrievers even at 6-all with 4:44 to play and added three second half scores. A four-year fixture in the Retriever attack, she hit the 20-goal mark for the fourth consecutive season needs two more for 100 in her career. In 2012, she has 20 goals and 9 assists for 29 total points and for her career, Coady has moved into 17th place on UMBC’s all-time scoring list with has 98 goals and 40 assists for 138 points.
