Athlete of the Week: Phil Poe, Men's Lacrosse

Sophomore Phil Poe captured 15 of 19 draws on March 6 in the Retrievers’ 8-7 victory over No. 4 Maryland. The Harwood, Md. native also scored his third goal of the year, which tied the game at 6-6 midway through the fourth quarter. Poe then won 11 of 22 face-offs vs. No. 2 Johns Hopkins on March 10 at the Konica Minolta Faceoff Classic. Poe has attempted all but two of UMBC's draws through five games in 2012, and is winning 55.2 percent of them on the season.
