Athlete of the Week: Amanda Deller, Women's Track & Field

Competing at the 2012 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston, Mass., Amanda Deller (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) was named the meet’s Most Outstanding Field Performer. On Day One of the competition, the junior won the weight throw event with a toss of 16.83m (55’2.75”). She followed it up with another victory on Day Two, this time in the shot put event, with a throw of 14.00m (45’11.25”). Both of her throws moved her up to second all-time in UMBC history.
