Athlete of the Week: Andrew Eckhoff, Swimming & Diving


Oct. 24-30, 2011

Senior Andrew Eckhoff shattered UMBC’s 3-meter diving record with a score of 354.30 against Towson on Saturday. The previous mark of 318.30 was set by Jeff Salgado in 2007. The Chelmsford, Mass., native swept the diving events against the Tigers, as he also posted a score of 335.10 in the 1-meter competition, and he qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships on both boards.
