Sara Parkinson, a two-time America East All-Conference honoree, opened the 2010 campaign with a win at the Mount St. Mary’s Dual 5K’s in Emmitsburg, Md. The senior from Lancashire, England, finished in a career-best time of 17:47.47, more than 18 seconds faster than the next competitor, and 20 seconds better than her previous personal-best 5K time, which she set last October.
